Anyone been there?

I went last September, it was absolutely incredible. You fly in to El Calafate, ARG and take the bus over to El Chalten. Let me know what questions you have.

That’s awesome. How much was your flight?

$1,200 JFK>Buenos Aires
$500 BA>El Calafate>Ushuaia>BA
If you want to explore Patagonia I'd recommend using El Calafate as your launchpad. From there you can get to El Chalten, Perito Moreno Glacier and Torres del Paine (Chile). I'd recommend Torres del Paine especially, it was by far the most stunning part.
The road to El Chalten is really cool. It's completely remote except for one little inn on a river in the middle of nowhere. Butch Cassidy hid out there when he was on the run. Pretty impressive to get to such a remote place at the turn of the 20th century.
