Thanks so much for the recommendations and keep them coming. I'm starting to get stoked for this trip.

We enjoyed the tapas and sangria at Cerveceria Catalana on Carrer Mallorca 236 in Barcelona. The only thing is they don't take reservations and there is usually a line. The quality is excellent and the prices are very affordable.

Have you seen Jose Andres show "Made in Spain"? It's probably close to 15 years old now but, man, that show makes me want to visit Spain so badly. Would probably be a great thing to watch before heading out.

It aired on PBS, not sure where it may be available online. Personally, I subscribe to the PBS app in Amazon Prime Video for all of the documentaries and "Made in Spain" just happened to be available.

Thank you all again. Our flight leaves tonight.

I made reservations for 15 of the 22 nights and I'm pretty sure I booked some of the recommendations here. Sadly, quite a few places have closed their doors.

I'll be sure to post a trip report when I return.

Oh, much Tempranillo and Rioja (I know it's made from the Tempranillo grape) will be consumed.

Ambitious.

Down south (Malaga) get the garlic chicken. Get it at a local place with some fresh baked local bread*. Dont be in hurry (which is a crime in the south!) it takes awhile.

*the bread game in Spain is strong.

23 days. A lot of ground to cover but it will be fun. Highlight will be the Spanish Grand Prix outside Barcelona.
