DeSoto Caverns-Birmingham/Childersburg

Have any of you been to Desoto Caverns in Childersburg, AL? Is it worth going to? My wife, 7 year old daughter, and I will be in the area later in the week and were looking at something to do for a day. From their website, it looks like a nice place to spend a day.

Yes, very cool in the cave. The rides/attractions are lame.

I wouldn't spend a whole day there. The caverns themselves are pretty cool, but all the cheesy crap outside them is a bit much.
