I haven't seen the mass issues discussed around the SkyClubs and Centurion Lounges but, the United Club in AUS was the only place I've been flat out turned away due to capacity.
It was in the afternoon when the Lufthansa flight to Frankfurt departs so it's possible the lounge was full of elites in that flight. 30ish minutes later I was able to access with no problem

I don’t think I had heard that. Seems like that is overkill given the LAX volume.
