Heading to Dauphin Island with the family for Thanksgiving. Will be there 4 days total. Anyone with ideas on places to go/things to do while there? Outdoor or indoor activities. thanks

Bellingrath should have their Christmas stuff up if you want to do family trip to botanical gardens. Ride the ferry over to fort morgan.

Bellingrath Gardens
Tour Fort Gaines
Check out the Estaurium / Sea Lab
Take ferry to Gulf Shores
Surf fish for whiting (small hook and fresh piece of cut shrimp)
Ride bikes
Guided fishing trip - Richard Rutland Cold Blooded
Grab a beer upstairs at JT's Sunset Grill

Ship and Shore (next to Circle K) has a surprisingly good craft beer selection. Also tons of bait and tackle

Restaurants on the island are terrible and not sure the November hours of the local seafood market but I'd bring a lot of food and cook at house.

Have fun. Late November is great time to be on the island

Been to Gulf Shores/Orange Beach several times for Thanksgiving. Usually great weather and empty beach.

Thanks for the info. Looking forward to a good time and hopefully catching a few fish but I won't be working either way so it's good.

This.

I stayed on a Boat in the harbor there for several days in a former lifetime.

Very good time.
