Credit card use in Cuba

i have a trip to Havana soon and can' t get any clear information about how widely and what types of credit cards are accepted in Havana. Anyone have any recent experiences?

Went on Fathom cruise in August. At that point only the Hotel National I Havana accepted American cc.

Dont hold your breath. Buy euros before you go, I used Bank of America, convert 100 or so to CUC at the airport, and then the rest at any local CADECA. Where in the city are you staying?
