Flying into Cincinnati for the LSU-Kentucky game that Friday morning. Staying in downtown Lexington that Friday and Saturday night to go to the LSU game on Saturday. Heading back to Cincinnati early Sunday morning to go to the Bengals-Packers game. Staying in Cincinnati Sunday night. Flying home from Cincinnati Monday morning.

What’s the better option: a bunch of uber rides or rental car? Once in Lexington, I plan to uber everywhere regardless if I have a rental car.

Are you asking if it’s cheaper to rent a car or Uber to/from Cincy/Lexington?

Have you checked the rental car rates out of Cincy and compared that to an Uber trip from Cincy to Lex?

Total rental car cost including filling up the gas tank before returning it will be $400-$450

Not sure how to get an accurate uber cost this far out

Plug in the destinations on the app and see what it comes to. Then double it for return trip. Won’t be exact but probably within 5-10%. Which could easily fluctuate with gas prices.

Also check shuttles, taxi or private transfers. I’m sure google will give you a ton of options. Unless you only want Uber or rental.

Damn that was easy lol. Roughly $100 right now, so $200 for roundtrip. I doubt I spend another $200-$250 in uber rides in Lexington for two days and Cincinnati for one day.

Hmmmmm.......

I thought you said you were taking Ubers everywhere in the city so that would be a wash.

If not, need to start comparing surge pricing for Uber to leave two football games + distance to hotel vs parking passes for rental + hotel parking fees, etc.

My hotels are near the stadiums in both cities. Plus I won’t be in a hurry to get back to the hotel after the games. I’m sure there will be bars I can walk to with other fans to drink and hang out for awhile. But yes I plan to walk and/or uber while in Lexington and Cincinnati. It seems like just getting an Uber to and from the airport would be cheaper and less of a pain in the arse than a rental car.

If this is what you'd use the rental car for, yes probably. Negligible anyway without having to deal with all the rental car BS.

If you are going to use Uber where you could use the car though I'd do more research into how long you'll have to wait and price. Uber/Lyft has been brutal lately. Rides that used to be a 5 minute wait and $10 are now 15 minute wait and $25.
