Looking to take my wife and our two dogs to Broken Bow for our 5th anniversary. Any recommendations on areas to stay in and things to check out while we are there?

Rent a cabin in Hochatown a few miles north of Broken Bow, there's what seems like thousands of them in that area. They practically all have hot tubs, try to find one that's under a cover if you can that way you can still use it if weather is crappy. Do some of the hikes, check out the breweries, eat at Grateful Head Pizza. If you have a 4x4 vehicle there's some fun trails around there that you can kill some time with. We went last December just my wife and I and probably the best part was just hanging out at the cabin, having coffee on the porch in the mornings and watching all the deer move through, or hanging out by the fireplace enjoying the quiet and some drinks.
