There is nothing better than the burgers on carnival. That makes it worth it by itself.

My wife and I are looking to go on a cruise this summer, out of New Orleans. I see Norwegian and Carnival offerings. Is one better than the other? Is there a gap in quality or are they comparable?

It really depends on you and what kind of experience you're looking for is what I have been told. If you're looking for a party, Princess is probably not for you. If you're looking for something quiet, relaxing then Carnival isn't the cruise line for you.

It just depends on the cruise and the price though, I've been looking at some Mediterranean cruises and Viking is basically 2x the cost. So they should be blowing everyone away.

Our cruise included airfare, excursions, alcohol and an extension in Amsterdam

The River cruises only have 190 guest on them. The ocean cruises are also smaller.

Our fellow cruisers were also a lot better than some cruise ships

Is it the 8 day to key west, and the Bahamas?

If so we did that in February. Key west was nice, Freeport we went to a private beach, Nassau we just got off walked around and got back on. Won't be doing that itinerary again. We've always gone out of Florida. We will go back to the again.

Think about the movie Titanic. Which type of crowd would you rather be around?

I've sadly been on Carnival and that pic you posted ain't what's on board with you. Not even close.

Have only done Carnival (3 times) and can confirm all the shite that they get on these types of boards is 1000000% accurate.

Have only taken them for guys trips and was everything we were looking for. Party scene, drinking all night, closing out the clubs, and hitting the breakfast buffet first thing in the morning. Sleeping it off on the deck while laying out while at sea.

That’s the exact type of trash you get in Carnival cruises nowhere is ever bring my family

Edit: have never seen a fight on a carnival cruise and while the buffet food is Golden Corral level; if you stick to fresh prepped food (dinner, sushi bar, pizza bar…) it’s not that bad
