Column's uptown on St. Charles. Good bar and it's great to sit on the porch and watch the world go by

The Eliza Jane
Being the former Times Picayune printing facility, it has great character. Its a Marriot property and the New Orleans Chop House is literally 50' right across the street.
It's on Magazine a couple of blocks off of Canal

Not sure where they stuck you, but I’ve always had a comfortably sized room. One time, they upgraded me to a gigantic suite. It’s the best hotel in New Orleans.

Hotel Provincial. Stayed several times. Enjoyed every time. Two blocks off of Jackson Square. The place is supposedly haunted. Was a hospital during the civil war. Easy walk to everything in the French Quarter. Quick walk to Central Grocery for the best muffuletta in town.
1024 Rue Chartres.
