Thinking about doing a Cooperstown trip and going to NYC. Anyone have any tips on best way to get to and from Cooperstown and how much time does the Hall of Fame take to get through?

I went in the middle of the day in January or February - there wasn't a soul in there, so I breezed through in a couple of hours.
It was a detour from a driving trip to Connecticut (in the dead of winter, like a dumbass), so I can't help you with getting there from NYC.
Anyway, if you go when there are FEET of snow on the ground, you'll probably have the run of the place.

It is 4 or 5 hours from NYC depending on traffic leaving the city. You would have to rent a car and drive.
Cooperstown is a quaint town. There is a big fancy hotel on the lake. During the summer there are constant travel ball tournaments there and the families that go with it.
I did the Hall of Fame and National Baseball museum in about 2 hours, but you could spend more time there.
