I need to book an overnight trip from Munich to MILAN

Me and wife, what are best options?

The 6 person couchette is only 160$ totall

Will they put some randoms in there with us?

The trip will be on a Wednesday in early MAY so I don’t think the tourists will be in full force

Yes there will be randoms in there with you. I did it when I was young but my wife and I get a private sleeper now. But we rarely take overnight trains since its so cheap to fly now.

We got super cheap fares from Munich to Florence on Air Dolomiti in 2015. You should check out the regional airlines as an option.

Yep.

Unless you get lucky, it'll be full, and it'll be hard to sleep. Spring for the private sleeper if you want to get some good rest.

You’ll have random people with you and depending on the number of stops, you’ll have people going in and out. I made this mistake Naples to Venice and have always got a sleeper since. Usually in the grand scheme of a trip it’s insignificant. As another poster mentioned, check the airlines...last month I went from Nuremberg to Paris on Air France for $80. Cheaper and faster than a train.
