Trying to plan a short trip will probably leave that Thursday before and come back to KC the Tuesday after. My daughter has to be back for a play she is going to be in. Any recommendations on good trip with a 6 year old. Wife would probably prefer someplace warm/beach area. I'd love to go someplace I could do some photos etc. Was kinda thinking San Diego. Tahoe would be nice but might be too cold still.
Any suggestions??
Thanks

I heard Pensacola Beach is a happening place that weekend.

Four or so years ago we made that mistake. Luckily I had my check in day on that Monday so it wasn't too bad, but my then young son had some questions.
We were staying at the Portofino resort, which was apparently like the headquarters for the more well off groups.

Check out Arizona - thinking about Page specifically.
San Diego is also a great trip though pricey.

Going to assume this isn't on your radar, but northern Minnesota and Wisconsin are beautiful through the summer months. Enjoyable temperature, countless lakes with water recreation/sports, dockside bars, quiet, etc. Memorial Day Weekend is a big time for the state's residents to retreat to their cabins in the north.
