we're heading up to Alaska in a couple days and the one thing I've not locked down for the trip is an air charter / flightseeing trip to check out Denali area / other points of interest.

Few questions for the travel experts here:
1 - any particular company y'all recommend? I had initially contacted Rust's flying service - we are looking to get a plane just for our small group of 3 (not interested in having other people we don't know with us) - but they sounded like they were only interested in their existing 'normally scheduled' tour flights

2- other than Denali and its glaciers any other area or place come highly recommended?

3 - We've got a halibut fishing day booked out of Seward during the trip, any other "can't miss" things to do / see on the Kenai peninsula ?

Thanks for any useful info

Check with K2 aviation. They're a pretty big operator in Denail and have several type of aircraft.

Knick Glacier and Matanuska Glacier are somewhat easily accessible, as is Exit Glacier new Seward. Fly Denali has C185 and Beavers and do charters.

Leaving for Alaska next week. I booked a flightseeing tour around Denali with a glacier landing through Talkeetna air taxi. Roughly $500 per person.

My friend owns Alaska by Air. We did the knik glacier tour and it was stunning as Denali was too clouded. Well worth the money.

I don't remember who we booked with but conditions caused the flights that dayto be cancelled. And it was the last day of our trip.

We bought an Alaska discount book with lots of 2 for 1 specials - it was well worth it. The flight we took was one of the 2 for 1 deals. I don't remember the company but it was more than a decade ago. We did have oxygen tubes to wear like they do for patients in hospitals and I'd recommend using an airplane that has them. Planes without oxygen are more limited in altitude. It was low clouds in Talkeetna and I didn't expect to go, but the pilot said that the clouds were thin and the mountain was in the sun. And he was right - we had a fantastic flight with great views. One of my favorite things I've ever done.

Talkeetna is a very cool little town, friends own a RV park there. Homer and Seward are very nice too, the Kenai Fiords full day cruise was a highlight with lots of wildlife including Humpback whales and Orcas and a calving glacier.
