Got a wild hair to go to Acadia next month to do some solo camping. It seems that everything inside the park is already booked.
Has anyone camped there outside the park? Any campground recommendations?

I’m here now. Next month is going to be cold as balls and most places will be closed for winter. There are camp grounds scattered all over. The drive from a surrounding town isn’t that far. Lots of places in between Portland and here.
