Anyone on the TB familiar with this area?? My daughter is moving there for the fall, TDY as a Nurse Practitioner.

La Crosse is a great college town. Those students know how to party. Oktoberfest is a great time. It’s on the Mississippi, so there are quite a few bluffs in the area that make for fun, quick hikes.

Is she Military or travel nurse? Do they do that for nurse practitioners. For what it’s worth there’s likely a lot of people that don’t know what TDY means OP, temporary duty (travel).

I’ve stayed at the Charmant Hotel a few times and it’s fantastic
I visited the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe last time I was there which is nice if you’re into that sort of thing
The Great River Road is very scenic
Some good places to visit across the river in southeastern Minnesota too if you need any suggestions
