I can work thirty days remotely per year. I would like to get out of the heat in July and august. Would need to put the kids in some sort of day camp to get work done.

Anyone done this before or have a good recommendation?

I’d find me a spot up around Flathead Lake, MT. But it won’t be cheap.

I'm doing a month of remote work in Tulum right now. A lot of Canadian and US people here doing the same. Wife and I are 30 and without kids, though, and Tulum isn't escaping the heat

I'm only assuming you live in the south, but if your family is open to flying for a trip of this length, I'd consider Michigan, Minnesota or Wisconsin. Lake living in the summer is immensely popular, so you'll meet a lot of people and there are plenty of camps for kids/teenagers. A lot of flexibility with the amount of lakes and rentals. Plus, it's not difficult to get to any from the major airports (i.e. MSP, ORD/MDW, DTW, MKE).
