Xbox series x vs series s

Gonna ask dumb questions but I have a 65inch Samsung from like 2019. It’s a 4K tv but quite sure it doesn’t have hdmi 2.1 and therefore can’t do 120frames, can’t do VRR and doesn’t have Dolby vision.
I have an Xbox one s but looking to upgrade to the series X or S. Is the X worth the extra price based on storage and media disc given I don’t think my tv can maximize the X’s potential?
Should I just go with the S since it’s cheaper and more widely available?

Bought an S because i wanted to give gamepass a try, and i'm interested in starfield at the end of the year. To me it's not what was marketed by microsoft, and i honestly wonder how this is going to impact other games for this generation. Pretty much every game i've tried on gamepass aside from indy titles, is 30fps. Not really what microsoft was marketing before the consoles launched. I have a ps5 so it's not a huge deal for me, but if i was a one console person, i would absolutely try to get an X.

Well and I’m mainly playing games from game pass too. So would the X be worth it? Wouldn’t all of those same games be in 30fps?

Xbox Series S doesn't support true 4k gaming, so get the Series X if you want to get close to that. Note: not all Xbox games even push 4k 120 FPS, but more will get you to 60 FPS with 4k.
Sounds like you just need a monitor/TV upgrade whenever you get a new console.
I would only suggest the Series S if you are extremely casual with your console.

The Series S is equal to the last Gen PS4 Pro.
