win11 - Multiple Displays - Different Wallpapers

I have a 4-monitor setup, and I want a different wallpaper on each monitor. Win11 let's me do this, but I am running into a problem with getting easy access to the images that I want to use.
When you go into Personalization then Background, the context menu shows you (among other things) only the five most-recent images (the 5-mri) that you have used as Wallpaper. You can "Browse Photos" to see other images. I have put all of the several dozen that I want to rotate into the same folder, so I can Browse to them easily.
Here is the problem.
When I select an image other than one of the 5-mri, it changes the wallpaper on EVERY monitor to that newly-selected image. Thus, it is necessary to reset all three of the OTHER wallpapers, every time that I reset one of them. ALSO, if they 5-mri are not in the right order (which is a crapshoot), it is very likely that one of the other 3 images that I want to use will disappear from the 5-mri list ... meaning that I must go thru the entire process AGAIN to repopulate the MRI list with the images that I want to use.
Does anyone know a way to do one of the following: (a) select a wallpaper image for one monitor without changing the wallpaper on EVERY image or (b) expand the number of "most recent photos" above a mere FIVE, so that there is a better chance of keeping the images that I WANT on the list?
Thanks.

which gpu are you using??

Usually, under personalization, you can right-click the photo, and it will allow you to change per display. However, I would recommend finding another tool or software to manage your displays and graphics because I find Windows does a terrible job of doing so. With the number of displays you are running, you may encounter a lot of black screen issues at times.

Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe Graphics
I am connecting the other three monitors with a Thunderbolt docking adapter and the onboard HDMI output..

I AM having black screen issue with ONE of the monitors. It is a Sony 32" HDTV that I have retired to service as a computer monitor. I have been searching for a solution to that problem, but as I troubleshoot, I still have the blackscreen problem arise on THAT monitor, even if I disconnect the adapter and connect it direct to the laptop via HDMI as the only external monitor.
No blackscreen problems with the other two monitors, so I was assuming that the problem was monitor-specific rather than computer-related.

Well, if you often disconnect the laptop from the external screens to use it as a standalone laptop, you will always encounter that issue unless you create a custom script. If the laptop remains connected at all times, you might consider scaling back one of the screens depending on the laptop's specifications. Please do me a favor and open the command prompt with administrative rights and type
systeminfo
Then, post the output here. Systeminfo typically doesn't reveal any private information, so no need to worry. After running that command, execute the following command as well:
wmic product get name, version
This command will take a little time and provide a list of all installed software and their versions. I would like to see what you have installed and running to determine if any program may be causing the issue.

Keep in mind that having the most current drivers doesn't always mean it's the best option for your system. Compatibility, stability, and reliability are important factors to consider when evaluating drivers. In some cases, Windows may even offer backdated driver updates
give me a little bit ill look at your last post about the system. im on the road at the moment

Create a separate folder on your computer where u want to store the images for your backgrounds.
Copy or move the four images that you want to use for your four displays into this folder.
Open the Windows settings app by right clicking on the desktop and selecting Personalize from the menu.
In the Windows Settings app go to the Personalization category
Click on Background in the left sidebar.
Under the choose your background section, select the option Picture.
Click to add new pic but when you go to the file folder use hold down control ctrl while clicking the images and in the order you want them in.
In the file browser window that appears, navigate to the folder where you stored the four images. This will allow you to select multiple files simultaneously.
After selecting all four images, click the Choose picture button to add them as your background images.
To maintain the order of the images, make sure the Shuffle option is turned off.
Close the Windows Settings.
