Please link me a very good wifi booster to order. My upstairs room loses signal up there and its really cramping my 9 year old's ipad style when she goes up there or has friends over. I'm kind of tech dumb and not sure if any type of booster is compatible with the uverse internet.

You need a better router.

would that replace or work with my att modem?

Yes. I have ATT gigapower with that 3 puck system added and 2 stories 3000+ sqft and no issues anywhere in the house

You turn off the WiFi in your modem and then plug the new router into your ATT modem.
Go to 192.168.1.254 in your browser. That will put you inside of the modem. Then you can disable WiFi. Set the new router to the same WiFi name and password as your ATT WiFi and all of your devices will hook up automatically.
I just bought this and it works awesome.

you think that router is strong enough to not need a booster system throughout house?

My house is 2 story about 40’x60’ and it covers both floors well and the back porch. I strea football games on my back porch ofen and the router is in one of the front rooms. No boosters.
The most complete answer is it depends on where you locate the router and how much crap is between it and the device you are trying to reach. I saw vast improvement with this thing over my AtT supplier router.
One more thing, I’m no tech guru but in my research I’ve come to understand that wireless boosters cut speed in half. I may have misunderstood what I read though. I explained my problem to our IT guy at work and he recommended the router I linked. I’ve had it about 2 weeks and I’m very pleased.

The wifi on the router is borderline unusable. I experienced constant disconnects just a few feet away from it. I ended up having to get an external AP and turning off wifi on the router.

Nearly the same price, 1 device to cover the whole house or 3? I get great speeds using the google setup and its an easy setup via their app.
Just sayin

What did you gather from that one

I’m officially google WiFi connected.
App was great, plugged all in, set WiFi and password same so I think all devices auto connected. Used app to re-situate one unit to help the other unit. Have all great signals now across house. Very easy.
