Why does onkyo have such a shitty app for its receivers?

I went with onkyos rz line for my home theater bc of the Sonos compatibly and the good 9.2 specs, receiver sounds great but their iPhone app is almost unusable

I like the Onkyo app. You download the right one ? Can you customize the app with pictures of each zone ? I’ve had a few RZ’s over the last couple years. Have a Denon now and prefer the Onkyo app to the Denon.

Yea it’s the one that says “controller” I can’t even get it to launch right now

Yea and I updated the app too. It fails instantly as soon as it’s launched.

Did you just buy this unit ? That’s an older model but works with that app. I used to have a 630. You have good WiFi ? And does any of the streaming services work on it ?

I’ve had it for almost a year. First time when the app won’t load at all.

Seems as if this is a problem
With the app and iOS updates. I read through the reviews on the app store for iOS and they are all saying the same thing. App crashes as soon as you open it.

I have 13.5.1 on my phone and the app is working for me right now.

If you go to the App Store and read the reviews it’s crashing for just about everyone on the “Onkyo Controller” app
