Which File Shredder do you use on your Mac?

In the past, when using Windows, I used FileShredder . org's free version. It worked perfectly.
For Mac, I'm seeing several options that cost money --- I don't mind spending, but which one is very simple and secure to use?

SSD or HDD?
Using FileVault?
If you have an SSD, I don't think there is any way to "shred" an unencrypted file due to wear leveling on the drive itself. The only way to securely delete files is to store them encrypted (by turning on FileVault), in which case a secure delete should be as simple as emptying the trash.
If you have an HDD without FileVault, then a secure delete can be accomplished with the command
I'm really not sure how any of the file shredding apps work, whether they claim to work with SSDs, or if they also overwrite journaled data.
Anyway, if you need to securely delete files regularly, turn on FileVault and just delete->empty trash normally.

SSD.
I'll look into FireVault. I am new to Apple's operating system, so off to YouTube I go.

I’ve had very good success with Clean My Mac. It is paid for the full version, but it has a lot of cool features.
