I don't know, man. YTM is by far the service I use the most with my Sonos system and I never notice any of this stuff you are talking about. All of my playlists render perfectly and everything seems accessible.

I think my only real complaint is in my OP: why the hell does a service (Spotify) that not only offers podcasts - but also has made a big splash into the space - not let you listen to them via Sonos? Like, I care less about figuring out how to do it at this point and more just want to actually know the answer of why it's not possible. It just makes no sense at all. Don't they WANT me maximizing my utility with the damned app?!?!

Yes, that's literally my question. Why does Spotify feature podcasts which play perfectly well on phones and on the website prevent them from playing in Sonos?

Just did a quick check.

Nope. Not a single Sonos device listed.

Every other music app on my phone even the shitty ones like Pandora display my Sonos speakers to cast to.

I just tested playing a podcast in the Spotify app to my Sonos speakers and it works. All of my Sonos speakers show up. It's the little speaker looking icon not the usual Google cast icon.

Are you upset that you can't do this from inside the Sonos app?
