Can you use maps like Waze or Apple maps and listen to Spotify at the same time?
I know you can for apple maps. I’ll check on Waze tonight. I installed the pioneer app radio app on my iPhone last night and tried out waze but I just had the radio on. I’m not sure if it will play sound from CarPlay and play the waze map since those are separate sections on the source screen.

Only Apple maps and Spotify/Pandora/Podcasts at the same time. I can use Waze with the AppRadio on the pioneer app but couldn’t get Waze and Spotify at the same time. I think it is with the settings in the unit itself.

Yeah I'm replying to myself again, but I learned last night you can control apps via Bluetooth. Not full functionality like switching between playlists or stations on Pandora/Spotify, but I had a quick stop to make on my way home. After that I connected BT for the first time, and it immediately started playing Spotify, which was what I was listening to before I got out. And there were forward and back arrows on the screen. I flipped around through the playlist and it was a fast response. Another feature I didn't know about when I got it.

I purchased a Pioneer 1300 NEX a few months ago. I usually connect my Iphone to it for longer commutes and the spotify/maps functionality is really good. When I don't plug in the phone and just use Bluetooth I do have issues sometimes with Spotify opening. If it isn't open/active on the phone it will say I have to log in. If I open the app it connects.
What Pioneer app are you using? I see two. one with Red arrows and another with a multi-colored square.

I currently have the one that is called AppRadio with the two red arrows circling around a phone and radio as the icon. I haven’t really used it. Thought I could get Waze to work though that and I think I did. It could have been the other one. I’m mainly using CarPlay on it though. It is just seamless.

Bump. Just bought a Toyota with a factory backup cam. I’m obviously going to put my pioneer in there but is there an easy way to just wire the factory camera in? I see adapters and stuff online but I want to have it all ready to go once I get started.

You're gonna need an adapter for that. Aftermarket head units typically have the camera input as an RCA in
