What are your T-Mobile speeds in Baton Rouge?

Just switched to T-mobile, the $60 3gb high speed plan from AT&T grandfathered "unlimited" plan. Speed tests constantly showing 7-8 mb/s download speeds. Is this what others are seeing in and around the Baton Rouge area?
I'm on a Oneplus One, so I'm loving the no contract options. Cricket (on the AT&T network) just upped their offers to 10gb a month for $55 including taxes and fees. They cap their LTE speeds at 8 mb/s. If I'm not going to get much faster than that on T-Mobile, I would much rather get Cricket for a cheaper price and way more data than I'll ever need.

What part of BR are you around the most? I normally only get those speeds around the St George area. Most places I top out at 10-12 Mbps, and around campus I can't get over 5.

Hope you don't plan on using your T-Mobile in and around Prarieville, right off the interstate.
Zero coverage. No service. Quite surprising considering we're in 2014.

I'm off of Stumberg, so right on the St. George line. Work is out at Exxonmobil, but the windowless office building gets a bad signal no matter what provider you have.
