What are my options with this inherited vivant system ?

I have purchased a home with a vivant sky panel... I have no interest in paying for their monitoring system, so all of my equipment is crippled with no cloud access. I have the following known equipment:
Wired ADT security system with wired window, glassbreak, and motion sensors (2 control panels are off (bypassed I assume))
2 Kwikset smart door locks (zwave)
2 Schlage smart door bolt locks (zwave)
1 linear garage door sensor (zwave)
2 nest thermostats
1 vivant video doorbell (I will scrap this thing for a ring)
My questions:
Can I add a new zwave hub AND leave the vivant controller in place as a cool local only control panel for alarm and other local functions like locking all doors from panel? In other words, can zwave devices be controlled by 2 different hubs at the same time ? What hub do you guys recommend considering my equipment ?
How does the vivant monitor the wired alarm sensors ? Was the wiring from the adt rerouted or intercepted and ran to this control panel ?
I'm fine with just a local alarm only, but text alerts would be nice... I wonder if the new alexa guard would text me when it hears the alarm ?

Not recommended. Just use a new zwave hub in bring in your old zwave devices.

It uses a wireless to hardwire module.

Is it Vivint's rates you're concerned with? Vivint is a 2GIG reseller. I've installed a couple of 2GIG systems with some ZWave devices and we coupled the product with alarm.com's monitoring service. I think our cost was something like $10 a month for monitoring and for each service you added it was a few bucks a month more. Without the system password, you can't really take over the main panel, but you can buy a new 2GIG controller from a local dealer and they can generally get you up and going for much cheaper than Vivint. When I was installing alarm systems, they didn't lock down the sensors/ controllers. They only locked down the panel which was around $200 cost if I recall correctly.
Finding a dealer that isn't out to gouge you on the monitoring is going to be your hurdle if you want a monitoring service. Pay extra up front to pay less monthly and try to get either no contract term or something 2 years or less.

Bonus fact. The guys that built the 2GIG system originally worked for one of the big security companies. I want to say honeywell but don't quote me on that. They developed the system in one of their garages (2GIG stands for "2 Guys in a Garage) and they offered to sell their product to their employer for something like $100k. Their employer insisted it wasn't worth it and they could match their product with their current system so the 2 guys got funded, got distribution and are smashing the old company's sales. Of course they have the bulldog sales company Vivint selling their product and despite their annoyance when they're selling you, they have sold a TON of systems. They have a robust smart home product offering now and they have made it easy on the installers. If the house is pre-wired, they can use almost any door contacts and sensors. If not, they have really good wireless devices that makes getting in the attic a rare occurrence.

It was ex-Honeywell employees.
The original GC2 panel is a solid, reliable but they are currently in the process of phasing it out. They new panel is suppose to be better but I have little experience/feedback with it at this point. I’ve personally put hundreds of thousands of GC2 panels out into the field. Great product and the alarm dot com backend is the best in the business if you want to pay for monitoring.

I'm only vaguely familiar with Alarm.com as far as setup but their app is definitely solid. Can the OP contact them and get setup and going without going through a reseller?
He would likely have to purchase a new "panel" right? Vivint is going to hold the password restrictions and as far as I know there isn't any way to hack that. Once you get past that, you have free reign over all the settings and dialer options.

For zwave I'd get a smarthings hub. This will be your main automation hub.
Since you haved wired alarm sensors, go with Konnected.io.Konnected.io. you can use it with smarthings hub to set up control of you alarm system and do automations off of the sensors.
You can rip out the vivant circuit board from the panel box and reuse the box to house your konnected panel(s).

I got the smartthings 3 hub... figured out how to remove the locks from the vivant panel then added them to smartthings...piece of cake... I got a water sensor hooked up for kids bathrooms in case of an overflow sink since the AC condensate drain to the P trap (dumb Texas design)..thinking about getting some hue bulbs for the front patio now!@
