At my work we have a couple of old 40" Samsung plasma tv's that have a video loop of our vendors products looping on them.

We used to use an old PC that had a HDMI adapter and connect that to the TV to run the loop. But the old PC died and I am looking for another solution.

The TV does not have a USB port, but it does have HDMI, RWY, and whatever the 5 cable connector (rca type) is called.

Does anyone know of a separate box or adapter that could be used to make this work? I have a couple of inches between the tv and the wall so I could hide something there if needed. Or I could use the hdmi cable that runs to a nearby closet that used to hold the PC.

Any help much appreciated.

Other than using a laptop or another computer, a DVD/bluray player with a USB port may be your best bet.

Might require your USB videos to be in a certain format

If you don't have wifi at the store you can use this

LINK

It will store the videos and play them. I am NOT sure about if it has loop feature. I think if you read the reviews people say how to get it to loop.

Any ways, I am sure someone will have other answers

Oh by the way.. just because the tv doesn't have a USB spot.. if you need to power a device via USB.. just use any USB adapter plug in.. even the ones that come with most phones today work well. I am sure you know this

but yeah there are several devices that connect via HDMI if you need it to be read that way

I bought a digital media player on amazon for about $30-35. It can be connected by either using a/v or hdmi cables. Then you can plug in a flash drive or memory card to play movies. I haven't found any formats that do not work.
