Looking for a simple handheld recording device. Something that I push a button, and it records my voice. Let go of button and it stops recording.
While coaching games, I want to be able to record personal notes and go back later to review.
I don't need distance recording, and I am worried voice activation will record too much unwanted conversation.
Phone apps haven't been useful.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I don’t have personal experience with them, but what you’re looking for is a “dictation” device or recorder. Just pop that into Amazon and pick the one you like best.

An iPhone or android has the capability to do that, it’s just a simple app

Simple app, but not always simple access. Lockscreen, sweaty fingers, etc..
Dictation device might be what I need.

Anyone have experience with the voice activated recorders?
