TVs that offer ability for a full split screen/quad box

Is this possible? Not talking about Pip where its tiny and in the corner. Talking about a true split where you can control both sides. Been looking for one, but can't find good info on it. Thanks techBAWS

I think you need a monitor type setup for that, not a TV. Most TVs have one video input at a time. The setup for a split or quad would have to come from the source, and I think only a computer would have that ability, not a cable box or Roku/Fire/Apple box.

Dish's Hopper 3 receiver can do it. I think DirecTV may also do it, but haven't seen it.

You need an outboard device.

Don’t know what you’re wanting it for, but the ESPN app on the newer Apple TV’s has “multicast.” You can 4 streams on at once although I don’t think it’s a quad box. It’s one bigger stream and 3 smaller ones. Awesome for college football (the game has to be available thru the app though, no Fox or CBS games).
