So my 3 year old decided to chunk a baseball at one of our Tv's. It didn't crack the screen and the sound still works. Problem is there is a large black spot where the baseball hit the screen and the rest of the screen is just a bunch of different colors. It's a 55" Samsung LED. Anyone know if the issue is worth bringing to a repair shop? Or should I just bite the bullet and go buy a new one? TIA

even if it is repaired how long are you willing to do without it?

It may take several weeks to source the part -

It's a bonus room TV that is mostly used by the kids. So not in too much of a rush. They go up there and watch their Ipads more anyway.

Tv's are pretty much disposable items nows

I’d replace it with a cheap model so it won’t hurt so much when they break it again.
