The TV recognizes my computer's name when I try to cast but the progression bar just stops about 1/4 way through and doesn't move from there and the computer times out.. I checked and I have Miracast. I just want to cast my desktop to the TV.. I can cast youtube.. maybe because there is a youtube app on the TV?
I have done a lot of internet searching on this problem and came up with nothing more than how to cast to the TV but no problem solving..
I will be monitoring this to thread.. So if you have any questions I will be here...

It has:
screen mirroring mode [always allow]
screen mirroring devices [my computer's name] so it recognizes my computer
device connect [enable device connect] this is turned on

So, you hit connect in the bottom right, select the Tv, then it times out ?

Yes on both TV and Firestick mirroring.. Both devices see my computer but fail to communicate..
