Can we go back to some basic technology like what Thomas Edison created? All this new stuff is junk.

This is staggeringly absurd, and actually a bit ironic, being nearly every one of Edison’s “inventions” were actually iterations on existing technology

Every invention is an improvement utilizing existing knowledge in a slightly different way. It's like climbing a ladder, each step gets you higher with more rungs supporting what you do.

While true in a grand sense, Edison’s “inventions” were true iterations, or maybe more clearly stated as improvements, on existing inventions. His talent was understanding how to modify an existing invention to make it more commercially viable, or even commercially viable at all.

Who is thomas Edison?

It's sometimes hard to understand the concept of 2 different types of stones accidently being struck together and causing a spark by prehistoric men (or women!) could lead to the electronic wonderland we currently live in. Cogs in the wheel.

Side note, if you have the chance to go to the Edison/Ford winter estate in Ft Meyers Fl, it’s worth a stop in.

Never saw that, but Menlo Park in Greenfield Village is another worthy destination.
