Thinking about grabbing the Sony Xperia 1 III, anyone have thoughts on the older models?

Specs on it are top notch and it has a headphone jack, which is huge for me.
Wondering what people think about the older ones. How did they compare with Samsung on all the bloat?

I've been eyeing them. I thought the Sony UI was supposed to be pretty lite.
Is the fingerprint scanner still on the side power button? I HATE these in display fingerprint readers. They suck arse. There was nothing wrong with them on the back. You could have the phone unlocked before you had it out of your pocket.

Not sure where the fingerprint scanner is. None of the big reviewers have got they're hands on one yet.
