I know that it's a pain in the arse terminating HDMI connectors, but my installation will probably require it.

Summed up:
-one end is going to have a male connector plugged into a monitor
-the other end is going to be a floor box with an outlet with a female connector
-in between the two will be raceways that will be able to fit the HDMI cable, but not the connector

Digging around, all I can find are outlets similar to this one:

with a female connector in the device plate, and a short cable to another female connector. I'm not going to have enough space to make this work. Is there a way to terminate the HDMI cable directly into the female connector in the device plate?

I would terminate it as a DB9 at the wall plate and then use a DB9 to HDMI patch cable at the device end. Much easier than trying to terminate HDMI.

I'll look into it, but it still has the same issue as the female-female adapter that I linked. Space is going to be tight in the floor box so I'd prefer an option to go directly to a female HDMI jack. Would also like to avoid any adapters located outside of the floorbox.

It does not have the same issue. You can terminate to male DB9 or female DB9. It's a much simpler termination. The space above the floor box is potentially an issue. I haven't seen the model of the floor box so I can't give input on that.

maybe HDMI over ethernet or fiber could help you.

That's basically my suggestion without the bulky connectors/converters/adapters needed. DB9 is an RS232 connection. The question is the overhead space in the floor box. Is it recessed with space for the DB9 to plug in or is it flush which will expose the connector.
