It has a telephoto lens which makes it more versatile and allows for a better rendition of the all so great portrait mode

You can watch 1080p videos on it and Apple released a phone four years ago that has a higher resolution than the XR

Entirely your opinion but a fingerprint sensor is superior to a facial unlock

no longer does

And that's a joke. They couldn't include a $10 dongle in the box?

Team Sailfish.

But if I had to choose, a rooted Droid with most Google apps disabled and the Aptoid store installed.

I used to be very against Apple. I had a Samsung Galaxy S3 and loved it, but the battery went to shite and would only hold a charge for about 20 min tops. My SO gave me her old iPhone 4 so I could at least have a phone but I was so against apple that I never used it. Then one day the Galaxy dropped out of my pocket and spider screened. I was then forced to use the iPhone, it was difficult at first but I learned to adapt. Work shortly bought me a new MacBook Pro for design and when I figured out that the phone and computer worked seamlessly together it was a no brainer. Apple ever since.

I enjoy both for different reasons. I usually switch with each new phone I get every couple years.

The telephoto lens does give it an advantage in that area. But low light is better on the Xr. Also, sounds like OP doesn't care that much about camera quality difference between the two.

You think those videos just won't play on the Xr? Again, higher res does not mean better.

Watch EVERYONE pick the iPhone XR over a 1080p Screen

Xr vs Xs displays

Not my experience at all. Just pick up the phone and it unlocks vs picking up the phone, placing thumb on TouchID, oh my thumb is sweaty so it won't read or I'm wearing gloves or my thumb wasn't on TouchID enough or there is a cut on my thumb so it isn't reading it or there is a bit of water on TouchID for whatever reason or whoops just a misread.

Of course. I even posted how incredible it is in one of the threads. The poster we're responding to was asking which iPhone he should get. Wizziko and I are only comparing the 8+ to the Xr. Thanks for interjecting Android into the discussion though. I almost forgot that it is a thing. /sarcasm

I prefer Android. I just don't care for iOS at all. They are both fine phones though.

I like Android because i can install apps that aren't in the app store without jailbreaking it. I don't like people telling me what i can or can't do with my phone. But Apple is great for grandparents and people that don't understand technology very well.

If it's not that important to you to have the best, or don't need the best, the Xr is a great phone.

The OnePlus 6t is 200 dollars cheaper, has top specs, great screen, and in-display finger print sensor.
