Streaming video through Apple Carplay

You cannot stream directly through Carplay. You'll need to purchase one of the boxes (there are several available) and that will allow you to stream through the box. You cannot have Carplay and the android box at the same time. I had the Magic Box and it worked in my old truck but when I got a new truck, it doesn't work and I haven't bothered to get a new one. I enjoyed it when I was waiting for my daughter at various practices, I could watch various sports while sitting in the parking lot.
