I have an old school receiver with wired speakers in the existing outdoor area. I have since expanded to build an outdoor kitchen and add a TV. I’d also like to put a speaker in the corner of the yard by the play set. This play set speaker would need to be wireless but there’s a power outlet over there.

So what would you suggest? SONOS connect with SONOS speakers?

Will it be covered? Totally exposed?

I'd be looking for marine grade speakers if I were the OP.

Wireless may cause a problem, and since we dont know the size or dimensions, I cant really give you an option for what to do. You could possibly do bluetooth, but that really depends on the distance.

If you want something that's just going to work when you start playing music, I'd dig a little trench for speaker wire and install a few of these speakers. We put four in, driven by Sonos Connect w/Amp for my in-laws pool. They work great, and sound surprisingly good for the price.
