I have a new soundbar connected to my TV via optical cable. when watching a recorded program and replaying something, the audio "locks up", sounds like an old stuck vinyl record but faster (don't know the term, obviously). I have to turn the sound bar off and reactivate the TV speakers. Whas happenin?

If you're watching from your cable box, you may want to play with the audio compression settings on your STB and your Soundbar.
Some TV's process the audio when playing through their own speakers but just pass through the audio when sending it out via optic cable.
