Finishing up my patio and time for some av fun. Going to get a fairly cheap (disposable) 55” tv. Also want speakers so I can turn up the volume on the tv as well as listen to radio stations, Spotify, Swamp Pop w/ Bobby Richard on Saturday mornings, etc.

My ceiling is wood and I want some bronze in ceiling speakers. Those don’t exist. So I was thinking of just buying some speakers and painting them.

Then I thought about a sound bar. Obviously it would work for the tv portion of the equation above but do they make sound bars that can also be connected to a receiver? If so, this may be the answer I’m looking for.

Sincerely yours,

Coon

Firestick to TV
Download music radio stations
Play them via firestick and TV.
Hook up whatever sound bar you like and it’ll play whatever your firestick is playing

You are uninformed. A Pro AV integrator can order those.

I don’t want to play radio over my tv, I want it via radio station.

I have a sound bar and it works very well. It has Bluetooth so I can play from a phone or device. I connected two TVs to it using different inputs so I can change the sound from one tv to another.

Most in ceiling speaker grills are made to be painted.
Just scuff em up and spray them.

with that said, I do some AV work here and there and I use a $90 Vizio soundbar on my paito for TV and bluetooth music, works fine

Or you can do what I did in my living room and make custom grills.
Go get some decorative metal and bend them.

Just bought a house with a nice backyard patio/kitchen and have been contemplating the same thing.

First thing going up is a TV. I would like an outdoor surround sound setup also. Any recommendations for this?

I was considering the sound bar option too, and maybe another Bluetooth speaker than can link up. Seems easier and cheaper than setting up a true surround sound system.

Not typically because i can't get the two to sync up. But i'll often have an lsu game on the radio and TV on mute with the game on. If i'm doing something that has my attention, i'll just listen to the game and if a big play happens, i'll turn and watch it a few seconds behind on the TV.

I think i'm going to go with this one. I like that it has the control buttons on the side because i plan on tucking it right up under the TV.

If you have neighbors they will not like the woofers/bass.. you can turn highs up fairly loud and not disturb anyone but bass can be heard inside
