impressed. Looks good. What the series/model number?
i think its just an offshoot of their QLED in a different form factor..and a matte finish.

i'm not sure the model but its the 2022 version that JUST came out and i got the 65".

you don't want the 2021 version. it has like 128MB of RAM to store art and the 2022 has 6GB.

i have a nice fat usb stick plugged in that i drag art onto and you can view the art from that and then decide if you want to move one or multiple photos to the TV's memory.

it would be nice if it connected to the cloud or NAS directly but oh well. its not the end of the world to pop a USB stick into my PC and copy all the photos i want over to it.

so far (and i'm still learning) its been really nice outside of the smartthings fiasco. but i don't know what i'm missing with that. it even supports alexa natively and i didn't need ST to set that up.

i've grabbed some great renoirs, monets, van goghs; cezannes, rothko, a pollock, some rauschenberg..lots and lots of great high res art online free by major museums. no need to buy that dumb $15/mo service from samsung to add art.

you don't necessarily have to get it at the 'preferred' samsung size (3840x2160) for it to look great. you can always enable the matte border for small/odd sized art and they will look good.

SIDEBAR - anyone know of a good editor that does a good job of resizing images without messing up the originals?

fun to play with the matte/borders and you can adjust lots of cool things with the art to make it look completely different.

the special mount is cool. it has magnets built into the bracket so the tv 'snaps' into place so it doesn't sag at the top. its a little tricky to get the magnet to engage; if your tv isn't flush then its likely the back isn't seated in the bracket properly so double check this.

there's also the matter of getting rid of the ads & crap samsung tries to push on the main menu so only the apps you want to see are listed. i can live with this since the power button is just a 'toggle' between art mode & regular tv. if i plugged in a roku it wouldn't be nearly as seamless. if you want to turn it COMPLETELY OFF you'll have to hold it down for like 6 seconds.

the remote has a built-in solar charger. slick! i have to remember to flip it over and leave it on the windowsill during the day.

you can purchase a variety of wood and metal frames in different colors from both samsung and 3rd parties. applying the new frame is as simple as walking over to tv with one of the 4 pieces and when you get close to the tv it will 'snap' to the default tv border with magnets. slick slick.

oh and best buy likely still has the 2021 model on display so don't go by that unit. the one near me looked like shite. i actually had to buy this sight-unseen because even though they could ship it to me in 2 days they couldn't get any inventory in the store.

samsung has a good product here. even cad is having a hard time bitching.

I just bought the 2022 50in Samsung Frame TV after quite a bit of research. We have a more formal living area that really would look odd with a blank tv sitting there a majority of the time. The Frame TV is a perfect tradeoff. The art (especially painted art with brushstrokes) looks so real multiple people have been fooled when they look at it. The matte screen removes any glare. I'm very happy with the purchase.
