This is my first college football season without cable or Hulu Live. How does everyone else watch the games on ESPN+ or SEC Network?

I'm considering going back to Hulu Live for the next 2 - 2 1/2 months just to watch a few games on Saturdays. Or, would I be better just toggling back and forth to Hulu Live over the weeks/weekends that I need it (10/03 - 10/24, 11/21 - 12/05)

There are websites out there that are free. Not sure what the rules are for posting them here...

Pretty easy to get set up if you have a chromecast or smart tv that you can cast to from google chrome.

Sling. Download ESPN app. Buy a HD antenna. $40 per month. Cheapest option.

Yep. I just renewed my Sling Orange + Sports package.

I've also seen ESPN app mentioned, do you just log into that with your Sling info?

I already have 2 of the 3, just have to figure out the subscription. I'll have to look into Sling. Adding Hulu Live to my current package would be an extra $49/month, so it'll save me $9 a month for the few games I want to watch on the weekends that my antenna doesn't pick-up.

I have brought this up in other threads but my HD antenna worked perfect last year. This year the picture spazes out every 1-2 minutes and the audio drops randomnly. Antenna is in same location as last year.

Should I get a new HD Antenna? The one I have is a flat square taped to a window.

Should I point in new direction? I'm in N.O. Metro and the window its taped on is facing north (not ideal but it keeps it mostly hidden and not so janky looking)

Get YouTube TV. They have the SEC network

I have The Disney+ with Hulu and ESPN plus and you can get to the SEC network but you can’t watch live games

All channels or just some (particularly CBS)?

CBS is the worst but Fox and ABC will do it too

I was thinking that your antenna might not be too great at VHF, but I don't think any of those stations are VHF. It's probably more of a directional thing (though I don't know why it would have gotten worse since last year).

The CBS tower is in Gretna I believe, so if you are north of there that might be why you're having trouble with a north-facing window. Also looks like the Fox and ABC towers are right next to each other in Chalmette.

Would an "amplified antenna" make any difference?

Quite possible and definitely worth a shot. You can also get a standalone amp and keep your existing antenna.

Also, it may be possible that nearby cell towers are interfering with your reception (this might explain a change in signal since last year), in which case you can also get an LTE filter (some amps have filters, too).

And sometimes channels will update something and you may have to rescan on your TV to get it to work correctly. ABC here in Birmingham did that a few months back. It still shows up as 68-2 after rescanning, but I forget what the main difference was supposed to be. I just saw on FB they recommended rescanning.

Unfortunately this did not alleviate any of the issues.

Will try out the amplified antenna. It looks nicer and will hopefully clear up some of the wires hanging around. The one I looked at looks like a portable blue tooth speaker and I can just place it on a shelf or windowsill.

Yeah I added an amp to mine that is mounted in the attic. Going to buy a new antenna for the TV we're putting out on the deck, and the indoor amplified ones seem like they would work. If not, I may get an outdoor one and mount it somewhere on the house out of the way and just run coax under the deck and up through the deck boards to where I want it.

Mine was doing the same. I had to reposition the antenna
