Scrolling Digital Slide Show Software

Other than Powerpoint, can anyone suggest software to run a slide show to display calendars, events, notices, etc.?

I used to run DAKboard on a raspberry pi until they changed it to a fee service.
If you don't have more than 2 calendars the free version might work for you.
