School me: On desktop touch screen's and Win 10.

Had a 27" home desktop monitor go bad a couple weeks ago and been limping along on a 19" spare until the cyber and black Fridays sales.
However today the idea of a touch screen suddenly popped up.
Wondering what the we've done this can tell me? Only thing I really know is can you enable and disable on the fly. But things like screen quality, ease of use, and practicality are big unknowns. (eta) Do not game (at all) so that's not in the equation.
