I recently got a Samsung soundbar and it works great, but whenever I turn the TV on, both the soundbar and the tv volume start up. Despite trying to adjust the audio delay, the two are off by just a bit so it makes an echo effect. I have to go to the TV settings and change the audio input from TV speakers to the soundbar even though the soundbar is already on. This effectively just disables the TV speakers (until I turn it off). I've looked in settings to see if I could permanently disable the tv speakers but it doesn't appear to be an option. Anyone know of a way?

I thought this was a troll post so I didn't bother replying. I've never heard of anyone trying to get their tv speaker in sync with their soundbar before.

Yeah, the TV speakers should be disabled always in this situation.

Had that situation years ago, same brand. Even though I turned the TV speakers off, over time, the sound bar would become delayed noticeably. At that time Samsung admitted it was an issue and actually stated that they were not pursuing a fix. FF a few years later and I'm now experiencing another issue with a Samsung TV that they acknowledge is a known issue with no resolve to fix. I've bought my last Samsung piece of crap.

You’re looking for “audio output” in your “advanced settings” on your TV.

Did you guys not read the whole post? I'm looking for ways to permanently disable the tv speakers. The only reason I said I was trying to sync them was because I got tired of having to turn them off everytime I turned on the TV. Literally, the last thing I said was...

I gave you a link for Samsung that tells you exactly how to do that? So, my reading comprehension was just fine.

I know its possible because I did it. It didn't seem to be a real difficult procedure either. I don't recall having to search real hard to find out how. I probably used this thing called google.

I appreciate the link but my point is the TV will reset its sound output to TV speakers when I turn it back on.

Can you post the model number of your TV?

^^^^

And if resets then you're doing something wrong.

Since we're on Samsung, what does everyone think about this one?

LINK

Thinking of upgrading our old 46 inch in the living room. We're getting rid of some furniture that the TV sits on now so I'd be mounting this one, running all wires in the wall to hide them. Wife wants the thinner frame and this has the mount.
