Is every Samsung product basically a fire hazard at this point? I know the risk of explosion/fire at this point is credible in multiple phones as well as their washing machines. Are there other products they offer acting up? And is there any word on how much this has hurt the brand as a whole? Just got word that my little cousin's S6 decided to end its life.

That could happen with any device powered by a LiPo battery if it is dropped and the battery damaged.

So practically any phone made today.

Definitely not a Samsung specific issue. They obviously really fricked up something in the Note 7 though.

Their TV's are good for now. I reserve the right to change my mind though,if they start exploding in the future.

Some engineering firm came out with a report saying it was because they didn't account for the natural swelling of a battery, and too aggressively designed the dimensions. Put another way, they crammed too big of a battery into too small of a space.

I'm semi-tech illiterate. What's the tie in with so many random Samsung products having issues like these?
