Route certain IPs through a VPN on Unifi Security Gateway

Has anyone successfully set this up? I'm want to assign my Nvidia Shield a static IP and have it's traffic route through a VPN on the USG.
For as capable as it is, this seems to be difficult to do with the USG, from what I've read so far.

I don't much experience with the USG, but this is typically just done with a simple static route.
Or if you are using two interfaces each on a different subnet, you shouldn't need a static route.

Can you just the the devices default gateway to the vpn ? Might want to set the DNS servers to the vpn dns servers as well (Nordvpn can use it's own dns servers so dns queries aren't viewable as well.
I need to try setting up my Nord vpn on my USG, have it on a dedicated VM that I use as a firewall/VPN gateway on my DMZ segment.
