Replacing cracked screen on Nexus 6P phone

My daughter cracked her screen, even with a glass protector on it.
Is it best to send it back to the manufacturer (I've seen the video on how to do it myself and there appears to be a great chance of screwing it up even further) or do you recommend one of the phone repair shops?
My concern is substandard work and an inferior glass replacement screen.
That said, if someone can recommend a place locally around the Baton Rouge area that can be trusted, I'll explore this option.
And estimated cost?

Better off buying a used one off swappa. I was quoted $229 and up all around BR to replace my old 6Ps screen

Get a screen off of Repair Universe and do it yourself. It's not hard. Watch a youtube video.
