Not looking to pay someone. Exploring options is all. It's years of family pictures so pretty valuable to my wife. I owe it to her to look at every option and hope for the best.

I don't even remember what what you said, but why would you delete any suggestion on here? I think we all just want to help around here. Very strange.
I wish I knew sooner about simply replacing the PCB board with a cloned bios of the bad PCB board, because that absolutely saved me so many years of downloaded data. And it wasn't expensive at all. Nothing else would have saved my hard drives.

I made my statement days ago pretty clear..a few others agreed with it and suggested you try it..
Its not your fault, but it drives me fricking bananas when someone suggest fixes and they just get passed over while OP continues to ask for updates and other suggestions..

Is it not reasonable to think I might try your suggestion while continue to research secondary options in case yours might not be the solution?
