Need to run MS office apps, zoom, email, and stat packages (SAS, SPSS).
No gaming or graphic design.
Prefer a larger screen and keyboard with 10-key on it.

Are you willing to connect an external monitor and keyboard to it, or are you traveling with it?

Software excluded from budget, right?

How large we talking?
Lenovo e16 comes to mind.
The most important thing to be aware of (if you aren’t) is that the they’re all repackaging 3rd party CPU and RAM into a case/screen/battery that they’re producing. So in comparing brands, you’re more comparing the case/keyboard/screen/battery and warranty (and aftermarket replacement keys) than the actual performance of the computer itself. Most have soldered RAM nowadays sadly. This one has 8gb soldered and a slot for an upgrade (see the 40gb option. Thats the max). It has room for a second ssd as well it looks like.
I linked Amazon and some 3rd party seller, but you can build it on their website for roughly the same price.
