Received email my Starlink is ready / Using T-Mobile 5G Home Internet currently

Well, finally received an email yesterday that my Starlink is ready, the order was placed on 3/19/2022. Back in May of this year, I checked T-Mobile's site and found out that 5G Home Internet was available at our address, and have been using the service since then at $50/month (internet-only customer).
I would like to know from Starlink users what speeds are you getting with your internet.
These are some of the speeds I've been getting with T-Mobile 5G Home Internet:
I'm trying to figure out whether to stick with T-Mobile by finding out what Starlink users are experiencing.
Sometime down the line, fiber will be available in my area and heard the provider will be Allen's Cable TV. Not sure what their fiber is like, so if anyone has it, I would like to know your experience as well.

Those download speeds are faster than my starlink. Upload is about the same. For half the price I would stick to tmobile.

No comparison tmobile is better.

Really? I would have thought maybe the same or better speeds. At one point, I remembered the initial price per month was hiked to $110 and there was talk of data cap. Is there currently a cap on data?

Thank you for letting me know. May as well free up a spot for someone to get Starlink sooner.

Yea I enjoy tmobile home internet in my area, especially since it's 30$ a month.
The other thing to consider is that TMobile will probably be increasing their speeds over 5-10 years, whereas Starlink might take 25yrs.

Oh, for $30 you probably have phone service with them? Can’t beat that if you do, nice.
Yeah, it’s been working great with one hiccup. One late night outage, which was near bedtime. When I woke up in the morning, it was working as usual.
I did see a small announcement that Starlink is partnering with a company, Cloudflare, to help speed up the service, but I have no idea by how much.

Yep. I think we pay 170$ for 3 phone lines (2 paid and 1 free) and home internet + MLB.tv + MLS season + Netflix.
It's one of the better financial decisions my family has done in the last year.

Got my email from Starlink this morning. I'm currently using Spectrum and although they had a lot of outages two years ago, the service has been spot on recently. I think I'm going to decline Elon's invitation to join his happy band.

I recently received my email from starlink as well and currently using T-mobile too. The speed fluctuates so bad with T-mobile is the reason I would be looking to change. I have been trying to place my starlink order for 3 days now and cannot get the transaction to go through. It gives me all types of errors and you are unable to contact them directly. Its definitely forcing my hand with keeping T-mobile until fiber is available in my area.
Tried 3 times today to complete purchase....denied!

Recently received mine as well and reside in Acadia parish. Our rural internet options are limited and frankly are shite. I'd like to try Starlink but the 650$ start up (I have to upgrade to 150' cable due to where my satellite will have to be placed) cost has me weary. I am unsure what I will do. I wish we had options such as T-mobile in our area.

Damn, that sucks that your T-Mobile experience isn’t better. My previous provider was AT&T with the same access except it was 4G and it had MIMO ports for antennas. Hooked an external Waveform antenna on top of an antenna rotor and was able to get a better signal. They don’t have external antenna ports on the outer part of the T-Mobile device, so it has to be opened up to connect an antenna to it. I just have mine near a window and I’m able to get what I’ve shown without an external antenna.
There’s is no other way than through Starlink’s website? Man, contact Elon with the errors before time runs out.

I’m in St. Landry parish. I hear you on options for rural areas. I don’t know what you have now, but if it’s not great, I’d jump on Starlink before the window of opportunity closes.

Make no mistake, Starlink is a life changer for me. My only other option was Centurytel 6mb service until Starlink. Just because I am not getting the speeds T-Mobile home internet can get doesnt mean it's all bad. It's 50 bucks more than T-Mobile but I am saving way more than that with what service Starlink affords me. Unless there is a very bad storm it never goes out. The speeds are more than i need to stream tv, play online games, and watch youtube all at the same time without buffering. It's a lot of money to commit to and certainly not the cheapest service, but it's great for me. I just want to give you a perspective from a user.

We just got T mobile home internet for $50 a month and we love it with a bunch of devices on it simultaneously. No issues.

Glad y'all are enjoying it. Yes, it's great that it's not limiting devices. It sure has exceeded my past internet experiences and changed my internet habits with video consumption exceeding web surfing.
Lookout college football season. I'm going to stream as many games on devices as I can. It'll look like a control room.

From that image I would say, you are using wifi. The question is, what does the device provide over Ethernet because WiFi isn't going to give you the same as you can get over Ethernet.

I hear ya about lack of options in our areas. Very north Vermilion parish and my options are Viasat and Hughs Net. I’ve thought about Starlink, but $110 per month is out of my price range. Cajun Broadboad is running fiber nearby but won’t come down our road. We are pretty much in no man’s land. I wish I could get Verizon or T-Mobile home internet, but they’ve told me not at my address. I can always do Direct TV and a hotspot for computer work, but would like to have internet for security cameras and streaming.
